yesterday i acquired a truckload of books that i discovered were owned by joe weisbecker. this guy had a sick resume but passed away in 1990. check him out.

anyone have any interest in Robotic & Flexible Manufacturing Systems or Digital Foundations of Time Series Analysis? COME ON....YOU KNOW YOU WANT THEM...

it seems his main interest was obviously computer design & programming but this guy left behind some very rare books on magic (slight of hand, card tricks, etc), heraldry, physics, psychology and a ton of other subjects.

i wasn't able to gain access to his private papers or his many inventions as i was not lucky enough to do the full clean-out. man, if his daughter knew what a goldmine she was sitting on. she sold the contents of his whole life for $3000. damn.

Any ideas what I should call my new best friend? She's only one so i don't feel too bad changing it. I may stick with "Sadie" but "Mercedes" is definitely OUT. That is a HORRIBLE name. oh yeah, and she's a badass.

Andre Waters, formally of the Philadelphia Eagles, took his own life last night at the age of 44.

According to Dallas police, T.O. ingested a bunch of pain medication in a suicide attempt. GO COWBOYS!! This was breaking news on the Mike & Mike radio show.

Tubbs received this email from a former acquaintance of ours after she viewed my memorial myspace account. I don't know, after reading this email i don't think i can keep the charade going. It did prove my points, though.

1) Don't believe everything you read on the internet
2) Myspace is the devil



hey hal! i know it's been a while. i was browsing through myspace
and spotted you. i'm so glad you and gina are doing great and life is
going well for you guys. no surprise, you both look very happy. and
i'd love to hear what you guys are up to.
i'm not really sure how to approach this. and i hate that this is the
reason i am writing you but as i was reading your page, i saw dave as
one of your friends. please tell me i am imagining things and i am
reading incorrectly. i was so unbelievably excited to see you guys on
here and then i clicked on dave's page and immediately starting crying
and i haven't been able to stop. i can not believe this. i don't mean
to bring up bad memories, but how did this happen?? and he was a
father?? i'm shocked that i never heard about any of this. it's such a
small town i'm surprised none of this travelled down the grapevine.
i've thought about you guys a lot over the years and i was so excited
last september to see all of you. it seems silly but i've always loved
your brother and always wished we all kept in touch. it's sad that
this is the reason i got in touch with you but please write back. i am
truly sorry for this and please tell your family that they are in my
thoughts and prayers. i know this may be a morbid question, but was he
(i can't even write his name, i want this all to be a horrible
nightmare) cremated or buried in a cemetary? the only reason why i ask
is because i am upset that i didn't know and didn't go to the funeral
so i would want to visit the gravesite if there is one and pay my
respects. again i'm sorry to bring all of this up in this way, but i
really didn't know any other way to do it. please write back.
